Owies, owies, everywhere

It's inevitable in the summer. Everyone gets hurt. And around here, we've used our share of bandaids these days. Let's start with Cooper. He was crawling around on the driveway one day and he just got his legs going faster than his arms and--biff--he did a face plant. And skinned his cute little nose.

Next is Turner. He was playing lightsaber fight with Landon and lost. He got the handle of the lightsaber in his forehead. It bled A LOT so we thought it was worse than it really was. Once we got him cleaned up we saw what a small cut it was. So he got the honor of a spongebob bandaid on his forehead. He also got clotheslined by the dog on her leash the other day and skinned about every square inch of skin that wasn't protected by clothing.

Regan was riding her bike like a maniac (just like always) and crashed into Sam. She hit her tooth on something--probably her bike--and knocked it so that it was almost completely parallel with the top of her mouth. Oooh, it was gross. It's just a baby tooth, but she won't lose it for about two years, so I pushed it back in and it looks like it will stay in. It's tightened back up quite a bit. She still can't bite into anything hard, though. She also got quite a fat lip.

Landon was being a goofball yesterday and slid off the couch and scraped his back. I couldn't believe it! He lost a bunch of skin...on the couch. Kind of gross when you think about it. Landon's skin is on my couch. Eeeeeeeeewwwwwwww.
Porter is a real sweet kid. Even ask the mosquitoes. They LOVE him. He is always covered in mosquito bites. Here is a self portrait of a leg which is covered in bites (and hair!).

Hayden fell off his bike a couple of weeks ago and hurt his finger. He "couldn't hold his bow" so he thought he would get off of practicing for a few days. Keep dreaming, buddy. I can see right through you.

So I think we should just sit inside and play video games for the rest of the summer. It's much safer.

Ouch! My kids legs look terrible right now too! Gillians are all scraped up and Ethan's bruises look like someone beat him with a baseball bat. Seriously. I told my kids they need to lay low for a couple of days to heal! But neither liked that idea.

Wow, sounds dangerous up there, all we have to worry about are the scorpions. :) Your kids are tough, tell them to keep on truckin'. Nothing says a great summer like skinned knees and fat lips!
