Noises in the night

I always wonder how my bathrooms can go from scrubbed to grody so fast. Well, I caught a little elf in action tonight. Dix and I were in the living room when we heard a thump. Then I heard footsteps coming down the hall, so I went down there to investigate. It was Landon, who had made his way into the bathroom. And he had to go BAD. Unfortunately, he wasn’t fully awake, so his aim wasn’t so great. Especially considering that he didn’t lift the toilet lid. So most of the urine ricocheted off the lid onto the floor between the toilet and the tub. The rest of it drizzled down the sides of the toilet, onto the seat and the bowl, a few drops eventually finding their resting place in the water.

So after seeing him back to bed, I got to clean my bathroom. But on the bright side, that’s one less chore I have to do tomorrow. Oh wait, he’ll eventually use the bathroom again, and the process begins all over…
