Well, it was Porter's big day today. He was ordained a deacon. I failed to tell him that the Bishop would call him up to the pulpit to congratulate him and get a sustaining vote. I'm glad I didn't warn him. He would've gotten all worked up and nervous over nothing. He was really cute and smiley up there. He waved down at us and I thought it was because the little kids were all waving at him. But later he told me that he was waving at me. Silly boy. Anyway, Dix ordained him right after Sacrament meeting and then he had to leave. The people who were in the circle with him were Bishop Brown, Brother Thompson, Dale, Mark and Dave. I think that was all. Correct me if I'm wrong, any of you who were there. We sent all the little kids off to primary, so we just had Landon, Hayden and Porter with us. I handed Coop off to Shelly Thompson so I wouldn't have to wrestle with him. It was a really nice blessing and I hope that Porter felt the spirit that was in the room. Unfortunately, Dix had to work today so he left right after that and drove up to the dream home that he is manning for the weekend. Hayden picked Porter up from his Primary class and walked him to Priesthood opening exercises.

They were happy that Jackson was there today so it wasn't just the Oliver show. Hopefully he will get ordained soon so that there will be three Deacons for a while (until Hayden's birthday in November).

What a handsome family you have! How proud you must be of your new deacon!
Sounds like a good day.
Your name came up at Andy's shower. We were trying to figure out if you were pregnant or just had Cooper at Heather's shower (we determined you just had him) when you dropped the bomb that you were moving.
We love you and miss you!
That is so exciting for Porter! What a big step! :)
What sweet brothers. That is so exciting though, and so sweet that he waved to you. Seeing you guys at church is making me miss our ward more than I already do!
Wow are you really that old? Omigosh
That's pretty cool that they get to be deacons together. I bet Porter is thrilled to be out of Primary.
They look so handsome and grown up!
