More laundry
You know, for as much as I HATE laundry, it can be somewhat satisfying. For about five minutes, until there's more dirty laundry to wash and I'm "behind" again. It kind of reminds me of that story in Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Farmer Boy." You know the story right? Where Almanzo is always behind in his job in the sheep shearing. No matter what, he's always behind. His dad shears the sheep, then his brother ties the wool, then Almanzo takes it upstairs to the loft. So he's always the last one to finish his job. Until he sneaks a sheep into the loft before it's been sheared. He beat the system. So how can I liken this story to my life? Have the kids bathe with their clothes on? Have them go naked? Have them do their own laundry? Hmmm, not a bad idea. I feel a new chore chart coming on!
