My kids have been really argumentative lately. I am so sick of it and just ready to tie them all up and put them in a padded room together. Tonight we had pack meeting, so I took Landon and Regan. At the last minute, Porter decided to go with us (since he wanted to stop at the dollar store on the way home to buy a pack of cards for his magic tricks). We had fun at pack meeting and Landon even won a silver coin in the drawing at the end. He was really excited. Porter was devastated. He's really into coins right now and thought for sure he would win it. As luck would have it, Landon was feeling generous. He gave it to Porter. This immediately changed Porter's demeanor. (You might say it de-meaned him!) He said that it made his bad feelings go away so that he could breathe again. He told me that he was going to keep the coin under his pillow so that when he's upset he can get it out and look at it and remember how it made him feel when Landon gave it to him. He really is a good boy, he just has such a hard time managing his emotions!
And thank Heavens for sweet Landon. He saved the day again!

Kim's just like Landon. No wonder they were such good friends.
What a great brother, and what a great idea for Porter to remember the moment. Kids do amazing things, don't they?
I'm sick of my kids fighting. Does it ever end?
