Thanksgiving

We have much to be thankful for this year. It has been a rather tumultuous year for us. I will spare you the details, but we are very thankful to have a roof over our heads, to have work, to have food, to have good health. We are thankful to live in a country that gives us freedom and protection. We are thankful for the gospel. We are thankful for chocolate.

I think that about sums it up.

We are also thankful for friends that took pity on our family-less selves and invited us (all 8 of us!) over for a Thanksgiving feast! These friends live just down the street from us and are in our ward. We found out shortly after they moved in that not only are we from the same hometown, but that we were in the same ward as their brother and his family in our ward in Washington! How weird is that! Thanksgiving dinner was with both our friends from here, and their family, our friends from Washington. And of course, they have six kids between them, and our six kids made for quite a busy household! We had a great time and are thankful for their friendships!

Most of the group. Just missing the women and the baby.

Porter planked on the back of the truck while I drove. Hayden was doing some sort of a weird handstand at first, but I guess he decided he valued his life, so he stopped. Crazy boys.
