Our community hosted an event yesterday at our new library that was so much fun! They had all sorts of activities for all ages. We first watched Reptile Rich. It was a great show that all of my kids enjoyed. Then we went outside and wandered through all the booths. Porter was thrilled to find a blacksmith with a forge, actually doing his craft right there. Porter spent most of the rest of his day there, and is hoping to do some classes with him. It was really fun for him. Then we went and watched a really dumb puppet show, got our picture taken in a jail cell (picture at another time). We got free ice cream cones, watched a science show (in which Regan and Landon were both used as helpers), did some painting, got face painting done, watched some Flamenco dancers, jumped in a bounce house, and panned for gold. Plus we turned in our reading logs for free In and Out burgers. We were there for nearly five hours and didn't spend a cent. Loved it. Turner was pretty hilarious. He walked into a booth where a lady was sitting crocheting. He walked right up to her (he's a close talker) and said, "Are you knitting a bonnet?" She said that she was, and he walked around and looked at everything and said to her, very sincerely, "This is AMAZING!" She thought it was pretty funny. Meanwhile, Hayden was helping at a friend's Eagle Scout project. We had such a great day!

Exploding Mentos and Diet Coke.

Landon got diet Coke-ed.

Regan got a Unicorn.

Turner got a dragon. Cooper was too shy to get his face painted.
