The kids had field day on Friday. It was a super warm day, especially being in the sun all day. Turner's field day was combined with the morning kindergarten, so we made an extra trip to the school for that. There were only three kids from the afternoon class that went, so Turner was a little lost, not really knowing anyone, but that has never stopped him before! He really had a lot of fun. He was disappointed, though, that his class didn't get to do all of the stations. The only one that he really wanted to do was the parachute, and alas, his class didn't make it to that one. Here he is doing a scooter relay. He loved it.

We had ridden our bikes to school for field day, trying to conserve gas in our beast of a car. After we rode back home, Turner and Cooper had fun on the trampoline playing and Turner even got some reading time in.

Then it was back to school to drop Turner off and watch Regan and Landon's field days. Bad picture of Regan, I know. She was one of four girls in her class wearing a white t-shirt and jean shorts. It was twin day, so she and three girls planned it together. They looked really cute. Regan had a great time. Cooper was getting really tired of being in the sun. Especially since it was nap time at this point.

Landon's class came out after Regan's was done. We only watched one event, then we went home. There were virtually no parents there to watch the 4th graders anyway.

We rode back home, threw together a big snack, rode back to the school (3rd time), then met them and went straight to the park. There we met some friends that we hadn't seen since before we left and played for an hour. It was a fun-filled sunshiny day. Dix and I went to the temple that night with some friends and boy was I glad to sit down for awhile! And Cooper went to sleep perfectly for the boys! That's the best part of playing outside all day! (And yes, I did remember sunscreen.)
