I'm too lazy to re-do something that was done well. My sister Carolyn blogged our fun activities we did this weekend at her place. So if you want to see some fun times--and hilarious pictures, go to Carolyn's blog.
That looked like a lot of fun. I enjoyd the leg wrestling pictures, the look on your face was priceless! Clue me in on the Nestle-free zone thing. Just interested.
If you click on the image, it takes you to Baby Milk Action website, which has a lot of information regarding the boycott and its history. Nestle has been the subject of a boycott for many years, because they aggressively and illegally market infant formula to 3rd world countries, where its use is often unsafe because of a lack of clean water, and other issues. 1.5 million babies a year die from inappropriate feeding. Nestle is responsible for more WHO code violations (who sets the standard on infant formula marketing) than any other company, which is why they are singled out as a boycott target.
Interestingly, their formulas are not part of the boycott, because there is a definite need for formula and can be a life saving substance, and some babies can only tolerate certain brands. Because of this, mothers who want to participate in the boycott can still buy the formula that is most appropriate for their child, even if it is Nestle.
More information on the boycott is here: http://www.babymilkaction.org/pages/boycott.html
Hey Leslie, I love checking out your blog and see all of the fun stuff that your family does. Check out our frog blogs to see the changes in our tadpoles. See you Tuesday, Pam
