Never a dull moment...in the IT department

We have had more computer problems lately! First, our desktop crashed a couple of months ago. We still haven't been able to retrieve any of our information on there. I am keeping my fingers crossed because there were a lot of pictures that haven't been backed up, among other things. So then we started using our laptops. One by one, the laptops have had their problems, and although they are technically usable, we can't get on the internet on either of them, so until we get some expert help, they are unusable to us. We went for nearly a week without internet this week. I tell you, it nearly killed us! The timing was terrible. Monday was Dixon's first official day to be job hunting, and us without a computer. Frustrating! He ended up going to the library and using the computer there for a while. We worked on the laptops all week, to no avail. Finally, on Friday Dix pulled out our old, old desktop and hooked it up. Lo and behold, it worked! So for the time being, we have a computer with internet access! Hooray! (But it doesn't have the little plug in for my memory card for my camera, which is finally now in working order, so you'll have to wait for me to figure out how to get my pictures on the computer some other way!)
