The Great Christmas Tree Hunt

It's hard getting the perfect Christmas tree when "perfect" is such a subjective word! We all had different ideas of what we wanted. Dix liked the first one he found. Hayden liked this big fat one that would have completely filled the family room (Think Griswold family). Turner and Cooper liked this one. It felt like it was just the right size! And Landon and Regan liked this one the best. Awwww, so cute! Porter brought a friend with him, and the two of them ran around the whole time. They didn't offer many suggestions for trees. Hayden did a great job keeping up with Cooper. Most of the time. Here we are. Well, all except me. And with Chance joining our family. Aren't we cute? And now to cut it down. Everyone took a turn with the saw. No Daddy, not that one! Everyone spent a few minutes with the saw, and Dix finished it off.

The best part was yelling "TIMBER!!"

Then to carry it to the car. (Thanks for all your help, Hayden!)

And now to decorate it...

What a pretty tree. I remember when we lived in Oregon that we could get HUGE trees for way cheap because they were alllll over the place. Lucky you - we would still have a real tree if they weren't so darn expensive.

I love that the little ones always pick the little tree. How fun, we miss picking out our own tree.

Lucky! Lucky! Lucky! Those trees are way better than the scary trees we used to cut down in Arizona.

Awe, so fun! We use to do that every year with my family growing up and we LOVED it! My kids haven't experienced the whole cutting down a Christmas tree yet, maybe...
