Cosmicosby's Final Performance

Porter's band, Cosmicosby, is breaking up!  Nick, the drummer, leaves for his mission this week.  Brodie leaves two weeks later.  So this performance was particularly emotional, knowing it was their last.

I spent the day at Cub Scout Day camp.  Dixon, Jason and Kristy picked me up from the church and we headed out to their performance in Chandler all together.  Luckily, I'm a master at quick-changes.

They performed in a concert hall which was WAY fancier than their usual venues.  There were about ten bands performing.  The music and performance style of Cosmicosby is so different than most of the other bands.  They are really upbeat and fun on stage.  It seems that many of the teenage bands are pretty full of angst.  There were some really talented kids performing and we enjoyed most of the bands.

At intermission, the bands were out in the foyer selling pictures, posters and t-shirts.  It was funny seeing the boys behind a table giving autographs and selling their stuff.  It was probably not as cool for them since their moms were over to the side taking pictures.  hahaha.  But it was pretty great.

Video of the full concert:

They were a little more silly and animated on stage than they usually are.  For one thing, they knew it was their last performance and so that kind of changed their stage presence a bit.  And for another, they were wirelessly connected to the amps so they had a lot more freedom to move around on the stage.

It was a fun, great performance and we will miss watching them.  But we'll always be their biggest fans.

Here is a link to one of the songs that they recorded.

Time Will Tell

You can preview it, and if you like it, you can download it!

They recorded another song last week, and we will have access to the finished product in about a month.
