What a Difference a Year Makes!

Last year's school picture:
 This year's school picture:

I struggled with the decision of when to start Cooper in school.  His birthday is late in August, so he would either be really young or one of the older kids.  He was very shy, and academically didn't seem prepared for school.  Everything pointed at holding him back a year. But I kept having the feeling that I should put him in kindergarten last year.

He started off the school year very shy, cried occasionally, and got easily frustrated.  He had such an amazing kindergarten teacher, and by Christmas time he was beginning to read!  By the end of the year, he was confident, talkative and ready for first grade!  The kid you see in the top picture is no longer.  He has evolved into the kid you see in the bottom picture.  I am so glad I put him in school last year! For him, it was absolutely the best decision!  He is a very happy, confident and adorable first grader today.

He's just hoping to get a loose tooth soon!
