Don't Feed the Animals!

Today was Scout Day at the zoo, so anyone who is a scout or a scout leader could get into the zoo for free if they wore their uniforms.  That is music to the ears of a mom of 4 scouts.  Of course the two oldest had other plans, but the four youngest kids were excited to go!  We got home from our soccer games at around noon, had a quick lunch, put on our uniforms (I recently got called into the Stake Primary Presidency, so I'm even a scout leader now!), and headed out!  When we got there we found out that not only was entrance free for the scouts (and they did buy one, get one free for Regan and Cooper), but all the rides were also free for scouts!  I decided it would be a good day to do the rides since I would only have to pay for two children!  We had so, so much fun.  We took our time looking at each and every exhibit, and we also went on the Skyride, the Log Flume, and Turner and Landon went on the train.

Just trying to get a nice family picture.  This is as good as it gets.
Regan was really upset at herself the last time she went to the zoo because she was too afraid to touch the stingrays.  The volunteer saw that she was scared, so she called her over and helped her to touch the stingray.  She even had Regan help her feed them (which is supposed to cost $3).  What a nice lady.
Me and Coop on the Skyride.  I am rocking the scout shirt, don't you think?
Turner took off his flip flops for the ride because he was afraid they would fall.  When I got off the ride at the end, he had hidden his flip flops in his shirt and tried to convince me that they fell off during the ride. Funny boy.
Regan and Cooper spent about 45 minutes in the petting zoo.  Oh do they love animals.
Another attempt at a decent picture of all four of them.  Fail.  But at least Turner got that wedgie out.
On the log plume ride.  See that bit of orange in between me and Turner?  That is Cooper's shirt.  He was squished between us.  We had so much fun on this ride!
While Cooper and Regan were petting animals, Turner and Landon took off and had a ride on the train.
This baby llama was the same size as Cooper.  They became good buddies.
Cooper loved carrying the baby goats around.  They didn't seem to like it as much as he did since they were constantly running away from him.
This baby giraffe was about the cutest thing I've ever seen.  I need to check the city ordinances and see if I'm allowed to keep giraffes in my backyard.
We wore this dude out.
