Here he is waiting for his race to start. Turner's races were all 25s...so he only swam one lap. He competed in the 7/8 age group, which put him as one of the youngest in the group. He is the kid standing up in the fifth lane down.
There he is, doing the backstroke! That was his favorite event.
And that's Regan doing the backstroke in the red swim cap. She liked backstroke as well. Landon's favorite is breaststroke, but somehow I didn't end up with any pictures of him.
Turner just getting ready to dive in on his relay team.
And this is what we did about every morning during practice. Our friend Adam would finish swimming just as we got there and would play Uno with the kids for an hour and a half every morning. I'll be he's about Uno-d out. Landon would swim first for 45 minutes, then when he was almost done, Turner would get in, then Regan. So an hour and a half total each morning. Towards the end of the summer it was getting pretty hot even at 8 am.
Turner entertaining his coaches. I could always spot him because of his green/yellow goggles.
And one final dive....
Can't wait to do swim again next summer. Maybe Cooper will be ready!
