speling

I pride myself in being a great speller. I have always been a great speller. I see spelling mistakes everywhere. If you ever made one on your blog, don't worry, I noticed.

I married Dix. Quite possibly the worst speller in the universe. Apparently, Regan is her Daddy's girl in the spelling category. We work really, really hard practicing spelling all week so that she will do well on her test each week. Last week she finally got 100% for the first time EVER. But it is a constant effort, studying every day to get to that point.

For example, off this week's list:

MAILDE (mild)
MITE (might)
TIET (tight)
CAILD (child)
FLAT (flight)
TIYS (ties)
CARIDREN (children)

But the best of all is....

GRIGRAILASONS

Any guesses?

It's congratulations. Which isn't a spelling word, she wrote it in a story.

I have my work cut out for me.

Hahaha! That's great! Is PUSD still using the Spalding Method?

That is so much like my family. I am a really good speller and Greg is terrible! Aubrey is like me and Heidi is like her dad. I always hoped my spelling genes would trump Greg's in our children but I don't think it worked with Heidi. I had Greg take Aubrey's spelling test to see how he would do. He failed miserably.
