16!

Hayden had his 16th birthday a couple of weeks ago. Along with 16 comes some pretty awesome milestones. First and foremost, he was ordained a Priest in the Aaronic Priesthood . He was able to go with another Priest immediately after church to a home bound member's home to take him the sacrament.

Of course, another thing that is great about turning 16 is getting a driver's license! Which Hayden got on his birthday. He took the test several days earlier, so all we had to do was go in and pay the fee and get the license. Happy day. He is now my personal slave driving all his siblings around for me. I'm liking it.

And another great thing about 16? It is the age that Hayden can legally begin group dating! He had his first date this morning and had a great time. He and a friend each invited a girl to his friend's house, where the boys made breakfast for the girls. Hayden heard that the girls would be wearing pajamas, so last night he and I went shopping for a cool pair of pajamas. Oh yes, we found a pair of footies that were absolutely perfect. (Please excuse the terrible photos recently, the camera is not functioning properly!)

He had a lot of fun on his date. He is such a great kid and has a great attitude about dating and girls in general. He is very obedient and wants to obey all the standards in For Strength of Youth. We are proud of him and the example that he is setting for his friends and siblings.
