Cooper was invited to a birthday party last week. It was for a cute girl in his school class that he likes to play with. He was really excited to go. I took him gift shopping and thought it would be easy enough. Second grade girls are pretty easy to shop for.
Unless you're shopping with Cooper standards.
It can't be girly.
There can't be any pink on the packaging.
There can't be any hearts on the packaging.
There can't be any pictures of girls on the packaging.
Because giving a gift with any of those would be totally embarrassing.
So it wasn't as easy as I thought.
He finally decided on a sand art kit.
Luckily he didn't notice that one of the bottles is really heart shaped. And there is some pink sand in there.
Mission accomplished. He had a great time at the party and she loved the gift. But more importantly, he didn't even get embarrassed.
