Cub Scouts

Just as Hayden's Boy Scout days are ending, Turner's Cub Scout days are beginning.  He turned eight in February, and so he started Cub Scouts the week of his birthday.  It was no surprise to me that he had completed all of the Bobcat requirements in just a couple of days.  I had to do a few things with him, but a week after his birthday, he had fulfilled all of his Bobcat requirements.  He was anxious for the next pack meeting so that he could receive his reward.  I may or may not have emailed his leader to make SURE he had the award so as not to crush Turner's enthusiasm.  He got the award.  He was thrilled.  It is already sewn onto his uniform because he could not wait one more second.
