Only Regan
I took the kids (Landon, Regan and Turner) to the Lacey Fun Fair on Saturday. (Dix stayed home with nappy Cooper and worked on the boat while Hayden went on a 30 mile bike ride with his uncles and Porter helped Dad) It's a fun community activity. They have bouncy houses, pony rides, fishing pond, and booths from lots of local vendors. It's a really fun activity, and it's free! At least most of it is free. We only do the free stuff. So we did the pony ride, many bounce houses, the tumble bus and were hot and tired (it was an unusually hot day for Washington). We went inside to fill up our water bottles at the drinking fountain and we walked around looking at the booths. I was glad I went because I got Regan and Turner hooked up for soccer this summer and Hayden and possibly Landon hooked up for swimming. Anyway, we were done with the booths, so we headed outside. I was planning on letting them do a couple more bounce houses and then we were going to head home. I turned a corner and all of a sudden Regan was gone! I tried really hard not to panic as I backtracked and looked everywhere I could think for her. Well, after about five minutes, I still couldn't find her, so I found a security person, who contacted the police and they were on the lookout for her. I just stayed where I had last seen her, hoping she would find me. After about ten more minutes, Regan came wandering up, eating some candy! After hugging her and telling the security people that I had found her, I talked to her about where she had been and what she had been doing. "I couldn't find you, so I walked around to the booths and got some candy!" What a girl! Most kids would have been crying, looking for their moms, but not MY girl! She had enough confidence in me to know that I would find her, so she wasn't worried. Might as well make the most of the time without me and get as much free candy as possible! She also had a bag with a nurse-type hair cap, a face mask and some band aids. Must have wandered past a nurse's display. Too bad she didn't walk past the Sheriff's office booth. Although nobody would have suspected that she was lost since she didn't seem distressed! Anyway, had a good laugh over it after we got out hug! I kept a closer eye on her after that!

It's such an awful feeling to lose kids! Glad she turned up safe.
Ahhh! I lost my son once for about 10 minutes at Wild Waves. I think I lost 15 years off my life during that ordeal. I'm surprised Regan wasn't scared! Both my kids would have freaked.
Nash wandered off during the campout last weekend. Har followed him for 15-20 minutes. He wasn't scared or looking for Dad...just exploring. ACK! Glad I wasn't there.
I felt stressed just reading about losing Regan! I'm glad she's safe.
P.S. Right on Hayden - 30 miles!
