Recital day is finally here! Regan has worked on this song for so long! It is a really tricky song and she has really struggled with certain parts of it. The accompaniment is too hard for me to play along, So she didn't learn to play it with accompaniment early on. A few weeks ago I convinced one of my friends to record the accompaniment for us so that Regan could practice playing with it. On Friday--this Friday--she finally was able to play it through all the way. She has worked really, really hard and I am so very proud of her! Although she didn't nail the performance, she did nail it a couple times earlier (that we didn't record, of course), so she feels good about it. And she's excited to move on!
Regan and her sweet teacher that she just ADORES. She has been studying with her for three years.
